One of the main issues in charlie and the chocolate factory is poverty. Everyday for the bucket family is exactly the same. Charlies father comes home everyday exaughsted after work. His grandparents all sleep in one bed together. Everyday there meals are made of cabbage. Cabbage soup cabbage salad and so on.
It finally started to get alittle better for them when Charlie gets the golden tickEt. That's as far as I'm up to at the moment hopefully I'll find some more issues.

Author's Purpose
C.S. Lewis wrote this story because he wanted children to know about christianity. He refers to christianity in the book, but also uses characters to represent christianity.
In the book the people always refer to Edmund, Lucy, Peter, and Susan as daughters of Eve and sons of Adam. The Witch is also used to refer to christianity also. In the book she is not a daughter of Eve but a daughter if Adam. She is a giantess. Aslan is also used. In the book he represents Jesus. He is a mentor for many people as Jesus was, he brings people back to life as Jesus did, and he is killed but comes back to life.

Old Memories
While reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, past memories retured. I began to feel younger. Ifelt this way because reading this book made remember when i had first read the book. I remember thinking how magical this book was to me.
This book felt magical to me because of the setting. In Narnia some of the animals talked. I especially found the beavers interesting. They were just like the elder. The way they spoke, their childish actions. This is why i enjoyed rereading this book.
